A 'meander' is a decorative pattern constructed from a continuous line, shaped into a repeated motif. This pattern is often called "Greek Lines", due to its presence in Greek art.
Despite this, the 'meander' motif also appears in other cultures, thousands of miles away from Greece. It's seen in Mayan architecture, all the way to ancient Chinese temples.
