INTRODUCING: NILE
The Nile Crocodile is one of the oldest animals in the world. A keystone species, these reptiles swam the spans of the longest river in the world, the Nile.
Keeping in line with our REBIRTH release last year, our May Rarity pays reverence to these Egyptian dinosaurs. Green was a sacred colour, associated with the annual flooding by the Nile, and malachite was a symbol of resurrection and new life. We created NILE, a depiction of the Nile Crocodile, as tribute to these powerful creatures. In rippling silver scales, NILE is set with two of May’s traditional birthstones: the Malachite.
BLACK (translated into KEM in Ancient Egyptian) - kem was the colour of the life-giving silt left by the Nile’s yearly flooding. Black symbolised fertility and new beginnings, and we created an alternate version of NILE in matte black.
HEADS-UP: The matte-black effect is designed to fade over time, giving the piece an antique, patinated aesthetic.
