After searching far and wide across Australia, we’ve uncovered a small batch of extraordinary Opals. This year, we’ve chosen a distinctive Marquise-Cut opal, its elongated shape flowing like a raw stone carried by a river of gold.
The design draws inspiration from the golden rivers that shaped Australia’s history - the roaring creeks and diggings of the 1850s Gold Rush, where miners chased the gleam of fortune through earth and water. Opals, too, were born from ancient waters - formed when rain soaked deep into the desert sands, carrying silica into cracks and cavities, slowly crystallising into flashes of fire and colour..
